#SmackWhackRappers : A Look at That Kid Era

Most "famously known for his Mac Miller diss track titled "Whack Miller"where he states that Mac Miller stole a track from him, That Kid Era gave an interview about this to DubCNN explaining more.
Era's rhyme scheme and 16's are complex enough to be industry leading. Over a million views on Vevo #BIGTHINGS. With the right backing this guy could be large.

    Excerpt from thatkidera
That Kid Era is proof that the rhythmic art of early hip-hop still lives. Born in the Bronx and raised in Westchester, New York, Era brings his life and the life of others around him to his listeners, painting a picture of the middle class youth that parties, struggles and remains dedicated on creating potent and relevant music.

The name Era originated when a childhood friend would beatbox and imitate the sound of a record scratching while he was freestyling. Era says the name embodies the essence of hip hop and it reminds him of his beginnings, when he was just a child trying to master sound. The tracks are personal, whether they are about the ups & downs of relationships, losing close friends and family members, or just enjoying life and smacking whack rappers.

It is experiences like losing his father at age ten that allow him to work harder, and understand that nothing is promised or comes easy. This intimate aspect of Era’s music allows him to build a rapport with his fans and followers. Dabbling in many different subgenrĂ©s, That Kid Era uses soulful beats to compose real and raw music for them. No matter which style DCMG introduces to their listeners, fans can always depend on Era’s relatable rhymes delivered with his familiar and comfortable verses.

If there is one thing Era can identify with, it is dedication. The name DCMG; Dedicated & Careless Music Group, illustrates Era’s outlook on the world. “Dedication is the root to all of my success. A lot people in the industry have Hollywood stories on how they made it, but we just kept showing up. We had no connections or political ties; we just were dedicated and careless in a sense that we couldn’t care less about what everyone thought.

Haven't heard much about this yet another alent again out of NY, heard a song with him and Styles P and was like Let me listen more. After listening to a Sponsored mix tape on DatPiff.com titled Mr. Illington I'd have to give this kid some credit. The lyrics were on point, the beats were catchy, and helps to paint his picture of life growing up in the Bronx/Westchester NY. The only critique I'd have to say was hurting him was the production value of some of the tracks seems sub-par but get this kid in a studio ASAP he's READY!

    S/O to the 914!!! STAND-UP!

*UPDATE* This song "illy" is really growing on me though ! #DiggIT
