The 1st Time Kendrick Lamar Heard Jay-Z on His “Don’t Kill My Vibe (Remix)”

You can almost feel the emotion and excitement for Kendrick Lamar in this clip. Most of us got to hear Hov splash all over K. Dot’s “B*tch, Don’t Kill My Vibe (Remix)” during SXSW. However, the man himself was surprised by the TDE crew when they played him Jay’s verse without warning. Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul seem just as impressed as KL.

“You really can’t prepare,” Kendrick tells Flex. “Jay-Z just came in and humbled the whole record.” He continues, “I always looked up to Jay, so for him to acknowledge my talent and get on a record. That’s one of my moments for sure.”
